After reading thousands of books over the years and thinking to himself that he could do better than some authors that have been published, in late 2013 John R McKay decided to put his money where his mouth is and give writing a go.
The result is four completed novels, three of which he has self-published (The Journal, The Sun Will Always Shine & Mosquitoes) and one which was released on 30 July 2015 by Pegasus Elliot Mackenzie Publishers (The Absolution Of Otto Finkel – details on how to purchase on separate page).
John has just finished the first draft of his fifth novel – The Worst Journey In The World and is hoping to release it later this year.
John lives just outside Wigan in the North West of England with his wife, Dawn and has two grown up daughters, Jessica and Sophie.
John served for seven years in the Royal Air Force and after two rather dull jobs in the packaging industry he then moved on to Greater Manchester Fire Service until leaving in May of 2014.
